Unblock YouTube at school
It seems that You can't get on YouTube? The horror! Luckily, it is possible to get around the internet filters and access YouTube anyway.
The easiest way of unblocking YouTube at school is to use an unblocker. You can get onto any other blocked site with an unblocker. There are lists of unblocking sites at the end of this page.
How does it work?
An unblocker is a kind of gateway that sit between your computer and the site you want to go to. The unblocker accesses the site you want in your place, loads the page, and forwards it to you. So the site you want to be on never sees your IP. So in effect you are browsing websites indirectly. School filters only see you visiting the unblocker, not the destination site.
Some advice for using unblockers for YouTube
It's best to use an unblocker that hardly anyone knows about. Unblockers that get used a lot will get blocked faster. Most unblockers found by searching the internet will be blocked quickly because they're so obvious. Even if you find a good one it would be smart to have an alternative you can try if your main one gets blocked.
Another way to unblock YouTube at school is by making your own unblocker site. This is harder than using someone else's unblocker but it's a lot nicer to have because you're in control. How to do this is not in this guide, do a search for "How to make your own proxy" you should find some guides. You can even make money from this by letting people advertise on it.
Some other ways to unblock YouTube are to use translator sites, for example Google Translate or Babelfish. You can also try Google's cached version of the site. Unfortunately, it's not possible to log in using these methods, so it's still better to use an unblocker for YouTube, though these tips work well for most websites.
